About EuropeCalculators
Europe is one continent with 32 different tax systems, a dozen currencies, wildly different living costs and a travel rulebook of its own. Whether you are negotiating a salary in Berlin, buying a flat in Lisbon, planning a road trip through the Alps or counting your Schengen days — the numbers matter, and finding them shouldn’t require a spreadsheet and three government websites.
EuropeCalculators exists to make those numbers instant. We maintain 12 free calculators backed by curated datasets for every EU member state plus the United Kingdom, Norway, Switzerland, Iceland and Liechtenstein: income tax brackets by year, VAT rates, social contributions, fuel and electricity prices, public holidays and average living costs.
Our principles
- Free and open access. No paywalls, no sign-ups, no artificial limits.
- Privacy by design. Every calculation runs in your browser. We never see, store or transmit what you type.
- Honest numbers. Estimates are labelled as estimates. Each dataset shows the year it refers to, and simplifications are documented on every calculator.
- Built for Europe. European number formats, European rules, local-currency tax brackets — not a US calculator with the dollar sign swapped.
What our calculators are (and aren’t)
Our tools provide realistic, national-level estimates designed for orientation, comparison and planning. They are not a substitute for professional tax, financial or legal advice — real-life outcomes depend on regional rules, personal circumstances and case-by-case assessment. For binding figures, always consult a qualified adviser or the relevant authority.
